Tenor/Bass Choir 2022
All-State Tenor/Bass Choir

This honor choir opportunity is open to singers currently enrolled under the direction of a KCDA member in grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 in a junior high, high school, or community choir program in the state of Kansas.

This ensemble performs  as part of the KCDA Summer Convention on July 8, 2022

Event Timeline: 2021-2022 school year
March 7, 2022 – Ready to receive new mp3 files
April 1, 2022 – Online application completed (mp3 upload deadline)
April 15, 2022 – Audition fees due, *$11 per student* (postmark deadline)
April 18, 2022 – Website notification of accepted singers
May 11, 2022 – Participation fees due, *$60.00 per student* (postmark deadline)
July 7-8, 2022 – Rehearsals & Performance at 2022 KCDA In-Service Workshop

Festival Scores – Audition Management System
We will use Festival Scores to manage audition mp3 uploads and judging. Teachers may begin creating their Director account and adding in their student profiles now. 2022 Clinician 
Dr. Nicole Lamartine

 is passionate about creating innovative, engaging, and diverse choral performances for ensemble members and audiences alike, and she seeks to positively impact the next generation of choral musicians all over the world. As the Sorensen Director of Choral Music at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Dr. Lamartine conducts the flagship choir, UCSB Chamber Choir, integrates relevancy into graduate choral studies at the MM and DMA levels for 21st century conductors, and teaches studio conducting and voice. Prior to her appointment at UCSB, she was Professor and Director of Choral Activities at the University of Wyoming from 2008-2020. She has conducted numerous All-State choirs, international honor choirs, and conducted her own choirs at regional ACDA conferences. A passionate advocate for music education, she conducts Chor Anno, a NW ensemble comprised of choral music professionals and she is the Founder and Conductor of the Santa Barbara Gay Men's Chorus. She is a Past-President of Northwestern ACDA.
